Adrenal fatigue

Adrenal fatigue

17.02.2024

Adrenal fatigue (prolonged fatigue with depletion of adrenal hormone), is common after periods of chronic stress, anxiety and panic attacks and seems to be occurring in epidemic proportions in recent years. However, allopathic medicine refuses to diagnose adrenal fatigue (probably because there are no medications for this condition), leaving patients feeling helpless and hopeless. Adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol (elevated during chronic stress) drain magnesium from the body. Stress causes excessive urinary excretion of magnesium.

In an animal model, magnesium deficiency caused anxiety and a dysregulation of the HPA axis (the axis controlling the release of stress hormones). However, instead of treatment with magnesium, treatment with drugs was studied. Clinical trials are needed to investigate the effect of magnesium use on adrenal fatigue, as very few treatment options are currently available.

Magnesium contributes to reducing the level of fatigue and exhaustion

Dosage: Dr Dean recommends 50–375 mg of highly absorbable ReMag Magnesium, starting at a lower dose and gradually increasing according to tolerance.
